Çalık Enerji to Build Turnkey Cogeneration Power Plant in Romania

​​Çalık Enerji has been awarded the EPC works of “Rompetrol CoGen Power Plant" contract made by the Romania based company Rompetrol Energy S.A., which is owned by KazMunay Gas International, State Oil and Gas Company of Kazakhstan, on 24 July 2020.

The parties signed the project contract on 19 August 2020, Wednesday at the signature ceremony via video conference call.

Having 75 MWel electricity generation, 180 ton/hour steam generation and up to 20 MWth central heating capacity, the Project will be a significant milestone for Çalık Enerji, as it is the first EPC project undertaken by the company in Europe.

2 Siemens SGT 750 gas turbines and generator set, 2 waste heat boilers and auxiliary units will be utilized within the scope of the project that is estimated to be completed in 26 months.​
