Construction operations for the power plants to be constructed in Ak Bugday, Serdarabat, Lebap and Saparmurat, Turkmenbasi district of Mary will be kicked off in May.

It is estimated that the construction stage of the power plants, which will be equipped with the capacity of 149,2 MW, 146,7 MW and 141,7 MW, respectively, will be completed in February 2014.​

With the presence of the President of Turkmenistan, Mr. Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov, a signature ceremony was held on May 2, 2013 at Turkmenistan Ministry of Energy, and also attended by top executives of Çalık Enerji, Turkmenistan Minister of Energy and ministry officials.
