As a part of the "Steady Supply of Electrical Energy to Ashkhabad (AST) Project", on December 7, 2014, Bitarap Switching Plant with 110 kV 8 Feeders and on November 13, 2014, Bekrewe Substation with 35 kV were put into operation after successfully being powered.
With 2 40/40/25 MVA power transformers engaged in Bitarap Switching Plant, the energy need for critical infrastructural instruments of Ashkhabad, VIP protocol route and the facilities around the current airport will be provided.
With 2 10 MVA power transformers engaged in Bekrewe Substation, the energy need for critical infrastructural instruments of Ashkhabad and VIP protocol route will be provided.
