As the final piece of power plants within the scope of the ALMS Project for Çalık Enerji, Mary LM 6000 Gas Turbine Power Plant was launched by the President of Turkmenistan at a spectacular ceremony.
Mr. President pressed the button in the ceremonial hall to launch the power plant, activated power generation, and signed a journal drawn up on the occasion of the launch. The opening ceremony was attended by the President Mr. Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan's Deputy Head of Energy Mr. Murat Artıkow, Çalık Holding's Chairman Mr. Ahmet Çalık, the President of General Electric for Western Europe and North Africa Mr. Ricardo Cordoba, Çalık Enerji's General Manager Mr. Osman Saim Dinç, Çalık Enerji's executives, Turkmenistan's Minister of Energy, and senior government representatives.
Power to be generated by the plant will be brought into service for growing industry and production in Turkmenistan. The remaining part will be exported to neighboring countries. As a part of the opening ceremony, Mr. President was delivered with a presentation over current power generation of the Mary State, prospective power generation across the State, and transmission projects.
Following the ceremony, Mr. President received Çalık Holding's Chairman Mr. Ahmet Çalık and Mr. Ricardo Cordoba. The parties exchanged views on new power projects intended for the Mary State and other districts of Turkmenistan.
Çalık Enerji continues at a rattling pace to carry out endeavors pertaining to the Rehabilitation Project for Ashkhabad Power Infrastructure, 500 MW Derweze Power Plant and 250 MW Ahal-2 Power Plant.
