The Solar Power Plants that Çalık Enerji and other group companies invested in and that Çalık Enerji provides operation and maintenance services for, generated more than 300 GWh electricity since their commissioning and prevented the emission of 229700 tons of CO2. Wind Power Plants generated 948,7 GWh and Hydroelectric Power Plants generated 562 GWh, thereby preventing the emission of 755350 tons of CO2. Thus, these plants in our portfolio contributed to protecting nature by preventing a total of 985050 tons of CO2 emissions by the end of 2020.
Gold Standard Certification validation process for Demircili Wind Power Plant with 40 MW installed capacity in Urla District of İzmir as well as the Sarpıncık Wind Power Plant with 32 MW installed capacity in Karaburun District of İzmir has been completed in June 2020. Following this validation, we have been able to reduce a total of 263.886 tons of CO2 emissions each year, including 149.300 tons of CO2 emissions prevented by Demircili Wind Power Plant and 114.556 tons of CO2 emissions prevented by Sarpıncık Wind Power Plant.
